Huckleberry mountain in winter

Imagine a Montana winter getaway to Glacier National Park.

Day 1:  Arrive and check in.  Arrange for any cross country ski, snowshoe or downhill ski rentals you’ll need for your adventures.  We’ll recommend a local restaurant to suit your fancy, or relax in your cabin and dine in for the evening.

Day 2:  Head into Glacier National Park for some sightseeing, and maybe cross country ski or snowshoe up Going to the Sun Road from Lake McDonald Lodge.  End the evening with a sunset snowmobile ride to the top of Desert Mountain for views of the peaks of Glacier Park.

Day 3:  Head to Whitefish for some downhill skiing at Whitefish Mountain Resort, or try out one of the many other activities there – dog sledding, sleigh rides, ice skating and cross country skiing on groomed trails.  Don’t forget to check out the shops, restaurants and bars in the town of Whitefish.

Day 4:  Go exploring up the North Fork to Polebridge, try your hand at ice fishing, explore more trails on skis or snowshoes, or just hang out and relax in your comfortable Montana vacation cabin…maybe you should stay a few more days!
